Things to do & see Darwin City The Lodge is within close proximity of: - Doctor’s Gully –a leisurely stroll through the rainforest takes you from the Lodge down to Doctor’s Gully for the Aquascene fish feeding (subject to tides, check with Reception staff).
- Bicentennial Park - The Esplanade – a quick walk away – enjoy the wonderful Darwin Harbour views and beautifully maintained parklands
- Wharf Precinct – catch one of Darwin’s shuttle buses to the Wharf for a leisurely lunch overlooking the Harbour. Don’t miss Indo Pacific Marine.
- Skycity Casino – a brisk walk away or catch a bus, try the Sunset Café for a great lunch in airconditioned comfort – easy on the pocket as well
- Mindil Beach Markets – next to the Casino - every Thursday/Sunday evenings May to November – these markets have become world famous for the variety of food and wares on offer. Not to be missed.
- Parap Markets – five minutes by bus, every Saturday year round – wonderful food and lots of goodies for sale. Fresh produce each week.
- Cullen Bay – get the shuttle to Cullen Bay, a great place for lunch or dinner in the Dry Season overlooking the Marina, or catch a ferry from the Terminal over to Mandorah for lunch with a difference. A great way to see our beautiful Harbour
- Make sure to take a tour to Kakadu or Litchfield National Parks
- NT Museum and Art Gallery – set in tropical gardens at Bullocky Point the Gallery houses the NT’s premier art collections. Try lunch or dinner at the Cornucopia Restaurant overlooking scenic Fannie Bay.
- George Brown Botanic Gardens – 2 km from the Lodge the gardens present a wonderful opportunity to view a huge range of tropical plants and trees. Don’t forget to pop into the Orchid House.
